Completion of Hall of Monuments
Where does it say that you have to complete your hall of monuments in order to transfer GW1 acheivements to GW2? Im hearing that i must have Kind of a Big Deal title in order to do so, where can i find this information at, and if it is true? Seems kinda of unfair to newer players who wont have the time to get that title just to go to GW2.

You don't have to complete it. You earn rewards for each monument placed in the hall of monuments (at least, we think). Also, you can continue to fill your HoM even after GW2 is released (according to Regina) and earn rewards towards GW2.
So, it's not biased toward newer players. Newer players can complete their HoM even after GW2 comes out. EDIT: All of this is or has been on Regina and Linsey's wiki pages. I'm sure they've posted these on guru somewhere, but I don't remember where. |

What Karate said. I'll add that a large HOM update will be coming in April and I'm hoping that we'll see some major improvements and the start of information regarding specifically how these things will carry over to GW2.
Personally, the only thing I've done with HOM is put up a few weapons (I have several armbraces and a stack of diamonds, onyx, and granites waiting), prestige armor, and a few titles. I won't dedicate minis and heroes until I know exactly how these will carry over. |

Don't worry about not getting your hall filled before GW2. No release date and no clue if or when we will see it, so you have time.

this thread is pretty much summed up....w3rd on the street is that you will unlock various items/powerups/armor/whatevers for having accomplishments displayed in your HoM....it nowhere has been stated that the hall has to be completely full to earn the unlockable rewards. have at it at your own pace and by the time gw2 rolls around i'm sure you will have something in your HoM that is worth while

to me, it should only carry over if you have completed everything. what the hell is worth moving if it is not complete?

simply due to the fact that it takes alot of time to fill a HoM and not many folks are that committed to doing so. i for example am one....i have tons of crap in there but i wont fill it up with armors and weapons and minis i have no use for.....and by your standards that would mean obtaining all titles no?

Currently I'm hoping to have a nearly 100% complete hall
Currently have 55 out of the 56 honor "title" statues over my characters, all 20 different armor sets, all destoyer and tormented weapons, and 58 of the currently available 66 minpets. I can't wait til April when i can display my survivor and LDoA statue on my mains HoM, hopefully I'll finally have r8 hero to completely my Title statues. |

6.2k since the release of factions, but hey, I'm a completionist, I make sure i play the crap out of my games, I wouldn't care if gw2 is canceled and my hall is worthless, I like the feeling of getting stuff done.

The KOABD title requirement is to get the Rainbow Phoenix. What benefits we will get and what we will need to do (other than create our HoM) is unknown at this time.
Unless you are obsessive (cough, cough) stop worrying. You will have plenty of time to complete things. Just concentrate on saving up the platinum required.

platinum required, lol. Ok, well that certainly clears things up, Its just that a buddy of mine is starting a new guild and said he expects everyone who joins to have atleast 5 maxed titles, since you need that many to transfer achievements to GW2.
Obvisously he was mistaken, i thank you for the clarification. you can close this now. |

I'm only at 48/56 Honor statues and 35/66 minis... the other 3 monuments are complete though. (By the way, there are only 16 armor sets, not 20) And when you list 66 I assume you're including the two "frog" minipets that are simply impossible to obtain :P |

There are 20 armor sets, just core characters only have access to 15 or 16
my necro has all 16 armor sets for that class my monk has the only citadel set that necro doesn't an counterpart for Sin has the 2 sin/rit exclusive armor sets And my wammo has the silverwing chicken suit Since the account wide HoM announcement, I went ahead and got those 4 attentional sets. Like how Survivor and LDoA and mutual exclusive, armor sets are the same way, so you need at least 3 characters to get all the available sets |

To point out a full HoM is when all but KOABD shrines are filled:
20 minis 5 armor sets 10 weapons 5 heros/ pets r1 KOABD A completedl HoM= r6 KOABD with the coresponding shrine fully lit; which titles you chose to MAX to reach this goal is a choice all your own. Ofcourse you can keep adding armor; heros/ pets; minis and titles; but this will add no benefits to the monument. Note: unmaxed titles can be added to the HoM, but they wont count towards the r6 KOABD! THE END For more info on this visit wiki! Last edited by isildorbiafra; Jan 31, 2009 at 04:07 AM // 04:07.. |
